THE LORD DECIDES WHEN, WHAT AND HOW?

Sometimes we pray for getting out of financial debts. Every person accumulates debt in his own way. However, the main cause of the accumulation of debts is not trusting in the Lord and that in case if there is a need of a certain amount of money, a man does not ask it from God at the right moment. In case of a financial need, many people, first of all, turn to their neighbors and relatives, instead of turning to the Lord of lords.

Once I urgently needed a rather large sum of money. I was very short of time, as I had to have that money the next day at 9:00 a.m. Honestly, I was panicking. I didn’t even think about praying. I mentally made up a list of those people who would be able to lend me a certain amount of money for an indefinite period. Since the amount was large, I had to turn to several people. So, I quickly started acting. After rather long telephone conversations, I found people who were able to lend me money.

We all agreed to meet at 8:30 a.m. in the office. My panic subsided, I sighed with relief and was even glad that I was able to find such a large sum of money. I went to bed. Then I woke up at night, looked at the clock, it was exactly 4:00 a.m. It was very dark outside, so I wanted to go back to sleep. Suddenly, I heard a question inside myself: “When you take that sum of money in the morning, how are you going to return it later?”

I was numb. I didn’t even think about it seriously. I began to mentally imagine within how many years I would be able to repay the debt with my salary. My breath stopped and I was horrified. I made an effort to think about a miracle. The amount was so great that I didn’t even believe in a miracle. The Holy Spirit went on to say: “Get up and get dressed”. I obeyed. After I got dressed, I went into the living room and sat down. “Bow down and worship”. I knelt down and began to pray. “Worship your Creator with a loud voice”.

I started praising. I realized that the Lord wanted a sacrifice from me. After bowing down before Him and singing two or three worship songs, I said: “Lord, do you want me to sacrifice my only and favorite gold ring?” I offered it because it was the only valuable thing I had. As for the praise and worship for hours, it was the most difficult thing for me, and even seemed to be an impossible service. With my human mind I was trying to exchange gold with the service of my mouth.

“I want worship”, – I heard as an immediate response. I curbed my body and continued to worship. I had been worshipping for 20-25 minutes, but the Holy Spirit was silent. I asked again: “Lord, how much money do you want me to donate for the implementation of the works that praise you?”. I was so tired that I couldn’t curb my body anymore. “I want the sacrifice of your heart and mouth”, – I heard the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit again. Honestly, before that I hadn’t worshipped God the Creator, the One, Who holds the universe in the palms of his hands, for more than 10-15 minutes in my whole life. I knelt down and repented.

Then I began to worship God with my whole being. During worship the Holy Spirit reminded me of those desperate situations that I had overcome with the help of the Lord. My whole life flashed before my eyes. The Lord showed me what kind of situations He had delivered me from and where He had brought me, something I could have never even dreamed of. The worship was flowing out of me like an uncontrolled stream. I melted in God’s presence.

“Now go to bed. In the morning I will give you the whole sum of money”. I looked at the clock, it was 5:50 a.m. It was the first time that I had been worshipping the Lord for 1 hour and 50 minutes. The result was overwhelming: first of all, that worship was necessary for me. It created an opportunity for me to sum up the desperate situations of my life, situations that were closer to the grave than to life. It also created an opportunity to clearly realize that the Faithful of the faithful and the Mighty of the mighty is God alone Who holds the eternity in the palms of His hands. The promised sum of money was a surprise that gave me joy.

The next morning I got up very early and called all those people who had to help me with money at 8:30 a.m. I informed everyone that I had that money already and that I was grateful to them for their willingness to lend me a helping hand. I got dressed and went to the office. I was curious as to how the Lord would give me that sum of money. Right in the office I met one of my longtime acquaintances, we briefly talked to each other and then he calmly handed me an envelope which contained that sum of money.

I hadn’t made an appointment with him and we weren’t even close friends. Moreover, he was someone living by an average salary. I expressed my gratitude to him and took the envelope, being sure that it contained the necessary amount of money. That person didn’t know what kind of night I had spent. Honestly, I myself didn’t know how he appeared in my workplace with that amount of money.

As godly people, we were both sure that the Holy Spirit had guided us. All, all, all glory to God! “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7 NIV). The Lord decides when, what and how?… He knows everything. All the sins of human beings are on the cross of Calvary. The solutions to those problems belong to us through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Simply, everyone should trust in the Lord of lords and turn to Him in any situation.

In response, the Lord will guide you as to what to do, how to do it?, etc. There are many solutions, but every problem has its own specific way to a solution. In my case, the mercy of the Lord was so great that He did not let me go under the yoke of debt. He decided that I had to worship Him in the middle of the night… to get to know Him as the most faithful…
